Maurkice Pouncey, Myles Garrett Suspended Following Thursday Night Incident

The NFL has handed out penalties to those involved in Thursday night’s incident involving Myles Garret hitting Mason Rudolph in the head with his own helmet. The League started by fining both teams $250,000 for the misconduct.

Suspensions were also handed out to players involved. Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey will miss the next three games for his retaliation towards Garrett. Garrett himself is suspended indefinitely with a minimum sentence ending at the end of the postseason.

The NFL released a statement on what occurred, highlighting the possible criminal conduct that Garrett performed to Rudolph. The quarterback’s name was not mentioned.

ESPN’s Brooke Pryor reported that Rudolph’s agent isn’t ruling out any legal action towards Garrett. Pouncey could appeal his suspension in hopes for a reduction.
