PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are about to kick off year two of Kenny Pickett and George Pickens's careers, and the standout wide receiver has a pretty big outlook on the offensive duo's future.

During an appearance on the 102.5 WDVE Morning Show, Pickens and the show's host Randy Baumann discussed the on-field connection Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown had. And in the conversation, Pickens mentioned how he and Pickett are on their way to being that next duo.

"I feel like we’re getting to that point," Pickens said. "It’s only been like two years, but I totally know what you’re talking about with Ben and AB [Antonio Brown]. Where it got to a point to where it was just second nature, or sometimes he’d be scrambling out and there’s three guys on him, he still just throws it. I feel like that’s going to happen with me and Kenny in probably like year five or year six, where it’s just automatic."

In nine years with the Steelers, Brown recorded 873 receptions for 11,207 yards and 74 touchdowns. This includes two seasons where he led the league in receiving yards and one season where he led the league in receiving touchdowns.

He was also a seven-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro.

Pickens finished his rookie season with 52 receptions for 804 yards and four touchdowns. This summer, he's continued to showcase his highlight-reel-catching ability and appears to be on track for an even bigger year as a sophomore.

The second-year wideout has even mentioned how he believes he can become the NFL's best wide receiver, and if he and Pickett can create the next Big Ben-AB tandem, he might actually hit that goal.
