Maybe Steelers Could Sign Odell Beckham Jr.

The Pittsburgh Steelers need a splash at wide receiver.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers tried to send a message a few months ago about how they feel comfortable with the receiving options they have for Kenny Pickett. But as we sit here today, that's not the case - and how much things have changed leaves questions.

This week, ESPN's Dan Orlovsky made the comment that he believes the Steelers should sign Odell Beckham Jr. The instant reaction was no, they shouldn't. But when you digest the situation, maybe they should.

Currently, Pittsburgh's roster consists of two proven wide receivers, a second-year player with no on-field experience, and a backup who provided more in the blocking game than he did as a pass-catcher.

Heading into the offseason, the Steelers had too many needs to address wide receiver with a splash. Sitting here right now, they've filled many needs, and the biggest one remaining - maybe outside of defensive tackle - is wide receiver.

And maybe a splash is coming.
