Titans' DeMarco Murray: "I'd put our line up against anyone"

When running back DeMarco Murray played with Dallas, he was paired with an offensive line some consider the platinum bar of the NFL. And it showed. In 2014, Murray not only led the league in rushing; he was nearly 500 yards better than his closest competitor.

But that was three years and two teams ago. Now Murray plays for Tennessee where he's paired with one of the best offensive lines in the NFL again. And, again, it shows. He led the AFC in rushing last season.

So the obvious question: How close is Tennessee's offensive line to the one he played with in Dallas?

"How close are they?" he said on the latest Talk of Fame Network broadcast. "I mean, I run behind these guys every day. I have a lot of respect for Dallas and those guys -- Zack (Martin) and Trav (Frederick) and Tyron (Smith) and Doug Free. I'm still great friends with them. I think with the line we have here in Nashville with the Titans (that) we're one of the top in the league."

Last year's numbers support him. The Titans, who chose offensive linemen (Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin) with their first picks in two of the last four drafts, ranked third in the league in rushing yards and tied for fourth in yards per carry. Dallas and Buffalo were the only two teams ahead of them in both categories. The Titans also tied for seventh (with Dallas and Chicago) in fewest sacks allowed, a category led by Oakland (18).

The Cowboys had the NFC's and NFL's leading rusher in Ezekiel Elliott. The Titans had the AFC's leading rusher in Murray. Draw your own conclusions.

"It's hard to pinpoint one offensive line," Murray said. "Obviously, the Raiders have a solid offensive line as well. But I wouldn't mind running behind ours any day. I enjoy running behind these guys with how they are and how they work constantly throughout the day.

"Definitely, I would put our line up against anyone, just the way those guys work and how they handle themselves on and off the field. I think it's remarkable."
