According to Daniel Gotera from KHOU-TV, the Houston Texans have met with Baylor safety Ahmad Dixon at the NFL combine. Dixon lettered all four seasons he spent with the Bears and was named an All-American his senior season.
At 6-0 and 212 pounds, Dixon was a tackling machine from the secondary. He averaged 91 tackles over the past three seasons, appearing in 39 games. Known for being a box safety and a pretty sure tackler, there is some question on his coverage ability. His technique needs some work along with his ability to diagnose reads on routes in front of him.
Meeting with Dixon at this point should be nothing more than getting to know the player, but still worth noting.
