Arian Foster, Mr. October
Patrick D. Starr
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster earned the month of October's AFC Offensive player of the month. Foster who was slowed during camp and the first part of the season with a hamstring issue looks to be working back into football shape and slowly looking like his 2010 self.
Foster in the month of October rushed for 499 yards on 125 carries (4 yds a carry) and caught 20 passes for 310 yards. In those 4 games he has scored 5 times (4 rushing and 1 receiving) and the Texans record is 3-2 during that October stretch. The three wins the Texans had, Foster rushed for over a 100 yards in those games, which proves he is an important piece in the Texans success.
Despite missing two games and limited carries in week 2 against the Dolphins, Foster has racked up 532 yards rushing and has a chance to reach the 1,000 yard plateau for the second season in a row. Look for Foster to keep getting stronger as the season carries on.
