Free agent and former Houston Texans running back Ben Tate has made it clear once again that he feels his time in Houston is up. The second round pick out of Auburn had an up and down career with the Texans that had injuries a big 2011 season and a 2012 season that saw him in the doghouse.
In 2013, Tate came to the be the lead back once again with Arian Foster hitting the injured reserve early in the season, and Tate started 7 games in Foster's absence. Tate rushed for 771 yards on 181 carries and had four touchdowns, but he gained plenty of respect for playing majority of the season with four broken ribs suffered against the Kansas City Chiefs.
With Tate's departure coming the Texans will now be looking for a least two new running backs for the 2013 NFL season.
