According to Walter Football, the Houston Texans have had a formal interview with Blake Bortles at the NFL Combine. The Central Florida quarterback has increased his stock in draft circles since leading the Knights to the Fiesta Bowl this past college season in a win over the Baylor Bears.
Bortles who checks in at 6-5 and 232 lbs. is everything a NFL quarterback should look like and still has room to grow as a player. At UCF he holds a 22-5 career record in his three season with the Golden Knights where he threw for 7,598 yards with 56 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. Bortles completed 66.2% of his passes and even rushed for 561 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground.
He marks the fourth known quarterback that the Texans have met with in Indianapolis, and the rumors have been starting with signs pointing to Bortles as the potential top pick of the draft.
