Breaking News: Texans Trade for Derrick Mason

Reports late on Tuesday, have the Houston Texans trading a conditional draft pick to the New York Jets for wide receiver Derrick Mason. Mason is in his 15th season in the NFL and is 37 years old, but provides an instant upgrade at the wide receiver position behind Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter.

Mason has over 12,000 yards receiving for his career with the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets. Mason recently signed with the Jets during the 2011 off-season and has 13 receptions for 115 yards and no touchdowns in a run happy Jets offense.

Expect Mason to be apart of the offense and give the Texans some much-needed depth after the let down from Texans receivers against the Raiders. More to come tomorrow.
