Houston Texans rookie right tackle Brennan Williams had an MRI on his surgically repaired knee today after the morning session of practice. Williams injured his knee on the second day of rookie mini camp in May and he had surgery to fix his knee issue. He sat out all of OTAs and mandatory mini camp and was placed on the Non Football Injury list when rookie reported. He was cleared the day before camp to open training camp on the field and has taken part in all of the practices with the team without any noticeable issues.
Today, Williams looked good in run blocking and decent in pass protection in team drills. More than anything it still looks like Williams has some work to do on getting in football shape for the season, but it has been a solid five days straight. Head Coach Gary Kubiak said do not read too much into the MRI and hopefully the results come out clean on Williams swelling knee.
