The Houston Texans have announced that rookie Brennan Williams will being the 2013 on the PUP list to start the preseason. Williams was injured on the second day of rookie mini camp, and was unable to come back for any practice time. The injury required surgery in May on his knee and will keep him sidelined.
During the preseason PUP he can come back at any time during training camp. He was moving well when working on the side field in early June during Mini-Camp, which was a positive sign.
With Williams injury it opens the door for Derek Newton and Ryan Harris to compete for the right tackle position for the 2013 season.
