David Hunter Added To Active Roster

After the season ending injury to defensive end Tim Jamison, the Houston Texans have promoted rookie defensive lineman David Hunter from the practice squad.

Hunter was signed as an undrafted free agent from the University of Houston (Waller H.S.) and he impressed in training camp to earn a spot with the team. At times, he worked both defensive end and nose tackle for the Texans during camp and preseason. He tips the scale at 306 lbs. and has a good frame for interior play.

It would not be surprising to see him active on game days and worked in when needed behind J.J. Watt, Antonio Smith and fellow rookie Jared Crick.

With the open practice squad spot, the Texans signed defensive tackle Lamar Divens to the practice squad.
