Rookie defensive tackle David Hunter was finally placed on the injured reserve this Thursday after injuring his toe during practice that required surgery. The Houston Texans waited until the surgery was complete before placing him on the injured reserve and looks like his recovery time will be around three months.
The University of Houston alumni was a camp invitee that made it through the final cuts and was invited back to join the practice squad. After veteran Tim Jamison tore his Achilles against the Green Bay Packer on Sunday Night football, Hunter was activated the following Monday. Just after two days of practice, Hunter was dealt a hand a bad luck that landed him on the injured reserve.
With the Texans placing Hunter on the injured reserve it leaves the team with one open roster spot, and that will lead to another roster move within the coming week before the Buffalo game kicks off on Sunday.
