The Texans increased their franchise record win total to 12 with their 29-17 win Sunday over division rival Indianapolis Colts. The Texans clinched the AFC South with this win and they are now one win away from clinching the number one seed in the AFC and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Arian Foster followed up two of his worst games of the season with his best, rushing for 165 yards on 27 carries (6.1 ypc).

J.J. Watt had 3 sacks on Sunday, leaving him tied for the NFL lead at 19.5 and 3 away from tying Michael Strahan’s NFL single-season record of 22.5 with two games to play.

The Colts only converted 1 third down attempt the whole game. It was good to see the defense step up and get off the field after struggling against the Patriots last week.

The Texans only scored a touchdown on 1 of their 5 trips to the red zone. Kicking 4 field goals in the red zone was enough to help beat the Colts, but leaving all those points on the field probably won’t help them to outscore the Patriots or the Broncos in the playoffs.

The Texans allowed the Colts to average 5 yards a carry on 25 carries. Vick Ballard repeatedly gashed the Texans’ run defense for 105 yards on only 18 carries.
