Houston Texans Lonnie Johnson, Jr. Being Evaluated for a Concussion
Houston Texans cornerback Lonnie Johnson, Jr. is being evaluated for a concussion after making a tackle against the Oakland Raiders. Johnson was slow to get up after making a tackle on a Raiders receiver and was tended to immediately by Texans medical personnel.
The Texans cornerback group is dealing with multiple injuries with starters Bradley Roby and Johnathan Joseph both inactive for the game. Johnson's injury was the Texans' top snap player for the cornerbacks heading into the game.
Cornerbacks Gareon Conley, Keion Crossen, and Cornell Armstrong will now fill in on defense moving forward with the exit of Johnson. Johnson was ruled questionable by the team for his return to the game.
