Houston Texans Sending Two to Hawaii
Patrick D. Starr
Today the NFL announced it's 2011 Pro-Bowl rosters and the Houston Texans were represented with 2 players on the roster. Arian Foster and Johnathan Joseph have punched their ticket to Hawaii, for the Pro-Bowl.
Despite missing 2 games and having limited action in another, running back Arian Foster has made his second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. Foster has 1,224 yards rushing, 617 yards receiving and 12 total touchdowns (10 rushing, 2 receiving). He has been the most consistent offensive player for the Texans during the 2011 season. In a contract year, Foster has proved his worth the past few seasons.
New addition Johnathan Joseph has been selected to his first pro bowl appearance, and it is hard to say if any free agent pickup has been a bigger acquisitions than Joseph. He has help solidify the Texans secondary and put the Texans defense in the top 5 of the league.
Joseph has 44 total tackles, 15 pass deflections, 4 interceptions and a forced fumble in his first year with the Texans.
Also, the Texans had 9 alternates selected to the Pro Bowl roster, they will be sent to Hawaii if another player can't play in the game.
