Patrick D. Starr

The Houston Texans have sent a 2020 third-round selection to the Oakland Raiders for cornerback Gareon Conley. The Raiders selected Conley in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.

The Texans sent the third-round selection they landed in the Jadeveon Clowney trade from the Seattle Seahawks to the Raiders.

The Texans have been dealing with multiple injuries at the cornerback position and decided to find help with Conley being the answer. Conley will be leaned on early by the Texans with the injuries to Bradley Roby, Phillip Gaines, and Keion Crossen.

Conley was the 24th overall selection of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Raiders. He has appeared in 23 games the past three seasons with 20 starts. Conley has 67 total tackles with 18 passes defended and four interceptions.
