With Black Monday upon the NFL landscape it looks like the Houston Texans are closing in on filling their vacant head coach position. Chris Mortenson, ESPN, said that a deal with O'Brien is "imminent" and expects the deal to be done within 24 hours.
Owner Bob McNair made it clear that he wanted to have the interviews taken care of before the new year and things appear to be falling into place for the Texans. O'Brien has been tagged to the Houston opening the past few weeks with rumors non stop coming from Happy Valley.
The first step is almost complete for a team that finished 2-14 and getting their head coach in place will start the rest of the moves for an interesting upcoming off-season.
