The Houston Texans have made it known that Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien has been on the radar since Gary Kubiak was relieved of his duties. According to Ian Rapoport, the Texans are scheduled to interview O'Brien after Christmas for the position.

The Texans will be competing with the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions who are also reportedly interested in the Nitanny Lions head coach. O'Brien has all of his NFL experience with the New England Patriots as a wide receiver, quarterback coach and offensive coordinator.

This will mark the second potential head coaching candidate to interview for the position, Lovie Smith interviewed for the job before the holidays. It has been noted the O'Brien has a buyout with his current contract with Penn State at $6.5 million.
