The Houston Texans have promoted offensive guard Alex Kupper to the 53 man roster. Kupper is a rookie from Louisville who is 6-3 and 299 lbs. and can play both the center and guard positions.
He was with the Texans from the start of rookie mini camp and made it to the final cut prior to the team setting the 53-man roster. He was resigned to the Texans' practice squad on May 10th of this year, and will join the 53 man roster for the upcoming game against the New England Patriots.
At Louisville, he was a walk on who earned a scholarship and started his last two seasons for the Cardinals. He played left tackle, left guard and center when he started 26 straight games starting his junior season. Kupper during his senior season ended up with second team All-Big East honors.
