Texans Lose Another For the Year
Patrick D. Starr
The Houston Texans lost safety, Dominique Barber for the year with a Lisfranc injury that he suffered against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. This injury puts 9 total Texans on the injured reserve for the 2011 season.
The Texans drafted Barber in the 2008 NFL draft in the 6th round (173rd overall) out of the University of Minnesota. Barber has been a special teams warrior for the Texans since coming to Houston. He has tallied 3 total tackles this season on special teams, and is a fan favorite.
Barber has played in 39 total games for the Texans and has started 7. He has 57 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception in his 4 years in Houston.
Expect Barber's injury to open the door for more roster moves heading into the Tennessee Titans game on Sunday.
