Texans Make Four Roster Moves
The Houston Texans have made plenty of roster moves prior to the opening of training camp. One of the moves will open up a roster spot for the Texans to bring in some different players prior to the first day of practice on Friday.
Undrafted rookie defensive end Earl Okine was placed on the PUP list after a leg injury he sustained during OTAs. Okine, out of Florida, will be working mainly in the training room but this move opens up a roster spot.
Nose tackle Ra'Shon Harris has been released by the Texans. Harris, who was injured on the second day of OTAs with a lower leg issue, came into the off-season out of shape which was evident when he stepped onto the field.
Harris had a strong 2012 training camp but that season was ended with a triceps injury in the preseason that landed him on the injured reserve.
Speculation will begin but it looks like rookies Sam Montgomery and Orhian Johnson will be working overtime to get ready for the opening of training camp. There was not a reason for the two rookies being moved to this list and we will not speculate on what it could be at the moment.
