Texans to Bring Back Quintin Demps
Patrick D. Starr
With the leg injury to Danieal Manning the Houston Texans are bringing back safety Quintin Demps to fill this void. Demps was cut loose after the preseason, who lost a close battle with Dominique Barber for the last safety position.
Demps coming back, pending his physical, will provide some depth for the thin safety position. This was written on the wall after the poor performance defensively shown by rookie safety Shiloh Keo who gave up the only touchdown of the day through the air on Sunday. This move also leaves the question on how much time Manning will actually miss for the remainder of the season.
Demps was drafted in the 2008 draft in the 4th round (117th overall) by the Philadelphia Eagles out of the University of Texas- El Paso. He was limited with the Texans in his time during the 2010 season and only played 2 games. In his three season career Demps has appeared in 27 NFL games and has notched 33 total tackles with one career interception.
