This came out this evening,
Lamar Divens is 6'3" and 335 lbs. and will be added to the Texans' practice roster within the next day. Divens has been with the San Diego Chargers (2008), Baltimore Ravens (2008-2010), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2011) and the Tennessee Titans (2012), but has only appeared in 5 games in his career, all with the Ravens.
An undrafted free agent out of Tennessee State, Divens looks to be a mountain of a football player. At 26 years old, it will be interesting to see if there are any plans later in the season for him, but it is a positive to see the Texans address the lack of size on the defensive line.
With the potential signing of Divens, it looks like rookie David Hunter will be activated from the practice squad.
