Texas Roots Run Deep With the Texans

Patrick D. Starr

When looking at the 2011 Houston Texans preseason roster, the Texans have a big group of players who have ties to the state of Texas. Either born or having went to college in the state, the Texans always seem to bring in homegrown talent and this years is no exception.

The Texans currently have 19 players with Texas ties, and we all know the state of Texas produces some good football and players. This just proves to me the Texans have a great draw to players from their hometown state to stay and play football in Texas.
