UConn's Jamar Summers Meets with the Houston Texans at the Shrine Game

The Houston Texans have met with Connecticut safety Jamar Summers at practices for the East-West Shrine Game. Summers measured in at 5’ 11" and 189 lbs. with a 76-5/8" wingspan.

In 2017, Summers appeared in 11 games and had 63 total tackles with 7 passes broken up and an interception. During his sophomore season in 2015, Summers impressed many with 8 total interceptions on the season, earning him 1st team All-American Athletic Conference. Those 8 interceptions ranked him 3rd in the nation that season.

For his career, Summers has had 183 total tackles in 48 games with 12 interceptions and 21 passes defenses.

Summers is considered a late day-three or priority free agent prospect.
