Wade Phillips Tells Buccaneers to Stay Home

Early this evening ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Twitter:

@AdamSchefter: Texans DC Wade Phillips told Tampa Bay that he was pulling out of process.

This is the best news Houston Texans fans have heard, since learning that defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers short list for their head coach vacancy. Phillips was scheduled to interview this Friday with the Buccaneers brass.

The Houston native seems happy here in Houston, but has made it apparent that he would like to be a head coach again. Phillips has made it know that this is his dream job and now does not want to be a distraction to the Texans playoff march. People think that is health may be an issue with his age, but Texans fans everywhere are rejoicing.

You can see what Phillips has done to turnaround for the Texans defense here.
