The Houston Texans have moved 3rd round daft picks Brennan Williams and Sam Montgomery to the active roster after both were initially not on it.
Williams was recovering from knee surgery after being rolled up on in a group drill during rookie mini camp. He worked hard to get back and was moving well towards the end of mandatory mini camp. After being placed on the preseason PUP list, Williams has passed his physical and will be ready for the opening of training camp.
As for Montgomery, he was placed on the Non-Football Injury list which usually means there was an issue with conditioning levels not being up to team standards. There were reports of Montgomery being "completely" out of shape, but he was able to get back in the good graces of the coaches and ready for training camp.
