Happy Wednesday. There's a real NFL game on tomorrow. Here are all the Vikings tweets and links you need to get caught up on all the latest from the land of the purple.

On Tuesday, the Vikings announced who they were waiving to make room for Josh Doctson. Many – including myself – speculated that the team would part with one of its four tight ends or four running backs. Instead, the player waived was backup center Brett Jones, which was a somewhat puzzling decision considering Jones' performance this summer.

It's worth noting that there's a possibility of Jones returning later. Because he is a vested veteran, he did not have to go through the waivers process where any team could have signed him. Jones is now a free agent and can choose his next destination.

In other Twitter news, Kirk Cousins' brand remains strong.
