Report: Blues' Paul Stastny week-to-week with upper-body injury

Monday October 20th, 2014

The St. Louis Blues will be without the help of center Paul Stastny.

The 28-year-old was on the receiving end of a Martin Hanzal hit early in Saturday night’s win over Arizona. The injury is believed to be in Stastny’s left shoulder. He was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ducks and has since been reported as week-to-week by St. Louis Post-Dispatch beat writer Jeremy Rutherford.

Here is video of the play where the injury is believed to have occurred:

Stastny was a key addition to St. Louis during the offseason, tallying four points though his first four games. The veteran spent eight seasons with the Colorado Avalanche before signing a four-year, $28 million dollar deal with the Blues as a free agent over the summer.
