Blue Jackets center Artem Anisimov leaves injured against Senators

Wednesday October 29th, 2014

The Columbus Blue Jackets’ injured list continues to grow as center Artem Anisimov took a vicious shoulder to the head from the Senators' Erick Gryba.

Gryba knocked Anisimov out of the game with 8:02 remaining in the second period. Gryba was handed a game misconduct for the injury that knocked Anismov’s helmet off and left him on the ice.

Columbus announced via Twitter that Anismov would not be returning because of an upper body injury.

The team is already plagued with injury woes with goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, RW Nathan Horton, LW Nick Foligno, C Boone Jenner, C Brandon Dubinsky and LW Matt Calvert also missing Tuesday’s game.
