Flames acquire Shore from Panthers for Knight

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) The Calgary Flames have acquired center Drew Shore from the Florida Panthers in exchange for center Corban Knight.

Shore was drafted by the Panthers in the second round of the 2009 NHL draft. He had 30 points in 35 games with Florida's AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. He was also named to the roster for the AHL All-Star Classic on Tuesday.

Shore had eight goals and 12 assists in 67 career games for the Panthers. He also had a goal and an assist in eight games for the United States in the 2014 World Championships.

Knight was selected by the Flames in the fifth round of the 2009 draft, and had one goal in nine games with Calgary. He also had eight goals and 12 points in 22 games this season for Adirondack of the AHL.
