Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel will have disciplinary hearing on Thursday morning for cross-checking Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid in the neck area on Tuesday, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced

Early in the first period of Tuesday night's game, Roussel hit McQuaid above the shoulders with the shaft of his stick. Roussel was assessed a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct.

Because Roussel's hearing will be conducted by phone, he cannot be suspended for more than five games.

Roussel was fined the maximum allowable amount earlier this season for punching an unsuspecting opponent.
