The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Tampa Bay Lightning, 2–0, in Game 6 on Monday night in Chicago with a rebound goal by defenseman Duncan Keith, an insurance tally by Patrick Kane, a stifling defensive effort, and 22 saves by goalie Corey Crawford, cementing their NHL dynasty status by winning the franchise's third Stanley Cup in six seasons.

Tampa Bay played valiantly, killing off all three Chicago power plays and getting 30 saves from goalie Ben Bishop, but the Lightning could not score against Chicago's rock-ribbed defense. Patrick Kane's slapshot 16 minutes into the third period, his 11th goal of the postseason, off a nifty pass from Brad Richards gave the Blackhawks what proved to be an unsurmountable 2–0 lead.

Kane, who struggled offensively for much of the series, finished the 2015 postseason tied with the Lightning's Tyler Johnson for the league lead in total points with 23.

The championship is the sixth in Blackhawks' franchise history and the first secured on the team's home ice since 1938.  Workhorse defenseman Duncan Keith was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, the first blueliner since Anaheim's Scott Niedermayer in 2007 to earn the honor.

Tampa Bay lost despite the presence of Bishop, who had battled an unspecified lower body injury for several weeks and missed Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. He insisted before Monday's game that he was feeling "better" off several days' rest since Game 5.

Chicago got the opportunity to win the Cup on its home ice when an Antoine Vermette goal in the third period of Saturday night's Game 5 put the Blackhawks ahead for good, and Chicago took a 3–2 series lead.
