Canadiens’ P.K. Subban knocks puck out of air to save goal vs. Oilers

Friday October 30th, 2015

Carey Price has been outstanding in net, a big part of the Montreal Canadiens’ best start in franchise history. Despite his stellar play, it’s always nice to get a little help, like the kind he got from defenseman P.K. Subban on Thursday night in Edmonton.

With the Oilers on a power play in the third period, Benoit Pouliot tried to tap a rebound out of the air and into a wide-open net behind Price, but Subban came into the picture to bail out his netminder

The concentration of the former Norris Trophy winner was immense in batting a scoring opportunity out of the air and sending it down the ice out harm's way

• Habs' early success a result of improvements, coach, or luck?

With Subban making saves like this and Price stopping just about everything else, the Habs' are going to continue to be tough to beat.
