Henrik Lundqvist added another franchise record to his mantle on Thursday, when he broke Mike Richter’s record for most career saves by a goalie in a Rangers uniform.

Throughout their 90-year history, the New York Rangers have iced a lot of quality goalies. Their current No. 1, Henrik Lundqvist, might be the best of them all.

Lundqvist added another franchise record to his mantle on Thursday, when he broke Mike Richter’s record for most career saves by a goalie in a Rangers uniform.

The record was broken in the first period of the Rangers’ game in St. Louis, when Lundqvist made a save on Blues star Vladimir Tarasenko.
