Coyotes make pair of minor league deals after Boedker trade

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Coyotes followed up their trade of Mikkel Boedker with a pair of deals involving minor leaguers.

The Coyotes acquired forward Matia Marcantuoni from Pittsburgh for forwards Dustin Jeffrey and Dan O'Donoghue, and defenseman James Melindy. Arizona sent defenseman Corey Potter to Nashville for future considerations.

The Coyotes also recalled forward Craig Cunningham from Springfield of the AHL and assigned forward Tyler Gaudet to the Falcons.

Gaudet appeared in 14 games with Arizona, scoring a goal and adding two assists.

The Coyotes earlier sent Boedker to Colorado for forwards Alex Tanguay and Conner Bleackley and defenseman Kyle Wood. They also acquired forward Sergei Plotnikov from Pittsburgh for forward Matthias Plachta and a conditional 2017 seventh-round draft pick.
