Wild RW Jason Pominville's games played streak ends at 231
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Minnesota Wild right wing Jason Pominville's streak of 231 consecutive games played has been stopped because of a lower-body injury.
Pominville was scratched Thursday for the Wild's game against Edmonton, his first absence from the ice in nearly three years. Pominville's streak tied Kyle Brodziak for the second-longest in Wild history, behind Antti Laaksonen (283).
Pominville last missed a regular season game on April 27, 2013, because of a concussion. He played in all 82 games the last two seasons and the first 67 games this season for Minnesota until the injury.
Pominville has 11 goals and 22 assists this season. He was replaced on the third line by Justin Fontaine against the Oilers.
