TVA Sports and TSN are reporting that a player has died during the opening day of training camp for the QMJHL Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

Jordan Boyd was 16.

The QMJHL issued a statement moments later, advising that it was "informed of the incident and is working in collaboration with the team to bring the necessary support to the parents and players in these difficult times. Jordan Boyd had a complete medical evaluation prior to the camp and didn't seem to have any medical problems that prevented him from participating. We are waiting for the hospital's autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. We offer our deepest condolences to his loved ones."
