Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier left Thursday's game with an apparent leg injury after defenseman Paul Ranger pushed Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron onto the netminder about midway through the third period.

Bernier was slow to get up, and once he did, he hobbled off slowly with help from a teammate and a trainer.

Bernier, who had recently missed five games with a groin injury, was replaced by James Reimer, who allowed a goal but ultimately held off Boston in Toronto's 4-3 win in overtime.

Entering Thursday's game, Bernier had 26 wins and a .923 save percentage in 54 games for the Leafs, who are scrapping for one of the final playoff spots in the East.
