The seven-year, $175 million contract extension the Seattle Mariners were prepared to offer pitcher Felix Hernandez may have hit a snag.

According to a report from ESPN's Buster Olney, the Mariners have developed concern about the status of Hernandez's pitching elbow, and negotiations over the contract extension have hit a snag because of that.
