New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick disputed a recent report that claimed he "hates" Tim Tebow, calling it "completely untrue."
"I wouldn't get into the probability of us pursuing any free agent. Every single player has strengths and weaknesses but regardless of that, for anyone to have represented that is the way I feel about Tim Tebow is completely untrue, baseless and irresponsible," Belichick told ESPNBoston.com's Field Yates. "It is unfortunate that something so inaccurate was reported."
In early May, Yahoo Sports' Michael Silver reported, citing "organizational sources," that Belichick "hates" Tebow as a player. Silver's report detailed how Tebow's search for a new team has been derailed, in part, by the media circus that has followed him throughout his NFL career.
Tebow is currently a free agent after being released by the New York Jets in late April.
