USC coach Lane Kiffin and wide receiver Marqise Lee initially offered different takes on whether a players-only meeting was held Sunday.
Kiffin, who many believe is in jeopardy of losing his job if the team continues to struggle, said on Sunday and again on Tuesday that the meeting never took place.
But Lee said on Tuesday that Kiffin was wrong and that a meeting did occur, according to tweets by reporters who cover the team.
Marqise Lee said Lane Kiffin incorrect about players only meeting not happening. "Kiffin don't know," Lee said #USC

Lee tweeted on Wednesday morning that the meeting was just a typical gathering.
There was not a "players only meeting". Just regular get together with a few players about staying positive and moving forward #FightOn!

Lee's tweet should end what looked like a public disagreement between two important members to the USC program. If the issue was really just a matter of semantics, then the meeting is a non-story.
