After Rams quarterback Sam Bradford was lost for the rest of the 2013 season with a torn left ACL, the Rams reached out to Brett Favre's agent, Bus Cook, to see if the 44-year-old was interested in making yet another comeback.

Favre, who hasn't played since ending his two-year stint with the Vikings in 2010, told Washington sports station WSPZ-AM on Thursday that not only does he feel physically unable to play, but he fears that he's already experiencing symptoms connected to concussions suffered during his 20-year NFL career.

From the St. Paul Pioneer-Press:

"It's flattering, but you know there's no way I'm going to do that," Favre said.

"I don't remember my daughter playing soccer, playing youth soccer, one summer," Favre told WSPZ. "I don't remember that. I got a pretty good memory, and I have a tendency like we all do to say, 'Where are my glasses?' and they're on your head. This was pretty shocking to me that I couldn't remember my daughter playing youth soccer, just one summer, I think. I remember her playing basketball, I remember her playing volleyball, so I kind of think maybe she only played a game or two. I think she played eight. So that's a little bit scary to me. For the first time in 44 years, that put a little fear in me. ...

"I think after 20 years, God only knows the toll."

FARRAR: Bucs coach Greg Schiano's job increasingly in danger

In late September, Cook was quoted as saying of Favre:

“I saw him the other day. He’s in the best shape I’ve ever seen him in, physically. His arms look like a blacksmith’s arms. He rides a bike probably 30-50 miles a day. He runs four or five miles a day. He’s coaching at the high school and they’re undefeated. He loves it. His body fat is 7.5 percent and he weighs 225 pounds. He could play today, better than a lot of them out there today.”
