Hendrickson, 19, is both a medal favorite and an underdog. Last August, the reigning world champ crashed during a training run in Germany, blowing out her right knee. But against long odds, after surgery and months of intense rehab, Hendrickson returned to the hill in mid-January and is now ready for Sochi—an Olympian feat.
