He became the first competitor in nine years not named Dave Mirra or Jamie Bestwick to win first place in the BMX Vert competition after landing the first flatspin barspin in X Games history.

E.T. could learn a few tricks from Robinson, whose backflip tuck, no-hander to no-handed flair won the inaugural BMX Freestyle Big-Air competition. Robinson also struck gold at the BMX Freestyle Vert Best Trick contest, winning a prize that had eluded him for more than a decade.

The Aussie learned the hard way how difficult it is to beat the legendary Danny Way. Despite landing a mute grab backside three over the 70-foot gap and finishing with a McTwist off the pipe, Brown had to settle for silver as Way claimed the gold in the Skateboarding Big Air competition.

The Flying Tomato couldn't replicate his Olympic success, as his 23 failed attempts to become the first skater to land a triple-revolution 1080 spin at the Vert Best Trick competition left him medal-less once again in this year's Summer X Games.
