Last Week: Unranked

The rookie out of Ohio State kicks off this week's rookie barometer. Holmes had five catches for 75 yards and his first NFL touchdown in a win over the Browns last Sunday. His numbers are modest right now -- 29 catches for 455 yards -- but he should be a bigger part of the Steelers' offense in the final weeks of the season.

Last Week: 9

Wimbley let Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wiggle away from him and throw the game-winning touchdown last week, but the rookie out of Florida State increased his sack total to 6.5 for the season and has been one of the lone bright spots on this team.

Last Week: 6

Bush's rookie season continues to be somewhat frustrating because he's having trouble breaking off big plays. But he's still producing, especially as a receiver. Bush had eight catches for 58 yards to go along with 51 rushing yards in a loss to the Bengals last week.

Last week: Unranked

Anderson is only a part-time player but his name comes up a lot when he's on the field. The rookie out of Alabama is always around the ball and last week he increased his sack total to 8.5 against the Jets.

Last Week: 5

Young's passing numbers aren't good -- he was 8-for-22 in last week's win over Philly -- but he's burning opponents with his legs and keeping the Titans in games by avoiding mistakes.

Last Week: 3

Addai had a ho-hum week against the Cowboys with 13 carries for 50 yards, but the Colts rookie should do very well against the Eagles' porous run defense on Sunday night and solidify his place near the top of the Rookie Watch.

Last Week: 4

The Texans fell 24-21 to the Bills, but don't think the loss means Houston still isn't improving on defense. Most of Buffalo's damage came on two long bombs, but the Texans did a great job stuffing the run, and Ryans deserves the credit. The second-round pick out of Alabama has become the leader of Houston's defense and ranks sixth in the NFL with 86 tackles.

Last Week: 7

The Chargers' offensive explosion is one of the biggest stories of the season and a lot of credit has to go to the massive left tackle out of Auburn. Not only is he helping open holes for LaDainian Tomlinson, he keeps Philip Rivers from getting sacked often by watching his quarterback's blind side.

Last week: 2

Maroney is taking more and more of the load for the Patriots. Last week, he ran for 82 yards on 19 carries and turned a short pass into a 19-yard touchdown catch in a blowout win over the Packers. With fellow New England running back Corey Dillon showing his age, Maroney will be the man during the Pats' stretch run.

Last week: 1

Colston sprained his ankle in the first offensive series of the Saints' loss to the Bengals last week, but the Hofstra product is going to at least try to play Sunday against Atlanta and defend the top spot in the rookie rankings.
