"I ended up missing a short birdie putt on 11 that kind of took a lot of momentum out of me because that would have given me a bit of a boost, got me to 1-under for the tournament," Mickelson said. "Unfortunately it didn't get any better from there."

"I got beat. I played good golf. That doesn't mean you win," Goydos said. "There's no defense. I can't tackle the little guy. There's no knee-capping. You have to accept the guy beat me."

"I don't care who wins this tournament, the wind won. I think it's kicked everybody's butts," Briny Baird, who finished at one under par, said. "I think it's hard for people to understand that are watching outside how difficult the golf course is playing. Every aspect is playing -- to hit a fairway, to hit a green and to make a putt -- putting on these greens right now, they're so firm and so fast that it's unbelievable that someone right now is at 6-under par."
