An NFL linebacker must be able to move in any direction in an instant. This critical need is reflected in the stance they take. In Ray Lewis's case, his knees are flexed with his weight over the balls of his feet. This prepares him to move dynamically, with nothing tense or static that might cause him to hesitate. Your golf swing requires the same ingredients.

HOW TO GET BALANCED AT ADDRESS
After taking your address (no club necessary) with your knees flexed over your shoelaces and your weight over the balls of your feet, bend your knees, swing your arms and try to get some air.

You should jump virtually straight up! If your weight is over your toes you'll jump forward; if you can't get off the ground, your weight is in your heels.
