In his first appearance at the Ryder Cup, and just months after his breakthrough win at the Masters, Woods disappointed with a 1-3-1 record. Sunday marked the first and only time Woods lost a Ryder Cup singles match -- he fell 4 and 2 to Costantino Rocca.

1999 Ryder Cup at The Country Club
At the "Battle of Brookline," Woods had a mediocre record of 2-3-0, but he won his singles match on a Sunday that saw the U.S. stage an improbable comeback to win the Cup. To date, it's the only time Woods has been part of a winning Ryder Cup team.

Despite Europe's decisive victory at The Belfry, Woods improved on his previous two Ryder Cup appearances with a record of 2-2-1, the halve coming in his singles match against Jesper Parnevik. He has not lost or halved a Ryder Cup singles match since.

Woods went 2-3 as the U.S. was embarrassed by the Euros 18.5-9.5. Two of his losses came when paired with Phil Mickelson, an experiment that would not be repeated in future competitions.
